I founded Houseguest in 2022 with a desire to combine my advertising and marketing background, my passion for travel and great hospitality, my family history of rental property management and my extensive network of tradespeople, cleaning professionals, photographers, creatives and digital marketing experts.

I felt there was space within the Wellington short-stay rental market for a company that specialises in curated, local experiences - much more than just a place to sleep. Houseguest goes above and beyond to ensure our guests have a 5-star experience in the Capital, and return time and again.

Our home owners enjoy being completely hands off, as we handle all aspects of the end-to-end rental experience. We manage a small number of homes to ensure we always maintain a very high standard of care. We know each home is different, and we listen carefully to the specific goals and requirements of our clients. Our experienced hosts screen your guests carefully and check previous reviews, travel purposes and group compositions to make sure they will treat your home with respect. We manage your pricing strategy (based on your goals, seasonal demand, holidays etc) to ensure your home is consistently earning you maximum revenue, and we communicate clearly around new bookings, guest experiences and any changes to your rental strategy.
